Memorial Day

We went to my parents house to have a nice picnic outside. My grandparents were present & though it was very hot out we were able to make some shade. Scott made some good food, Brittany & I played some games (soccer, lacrosse, etc) & everyone of course got some Dylan time.

New Cup

We started Dylan on a sippy cup today. Took a few tries but I think he's got the hang of it except he's trying to bite the nub with his new teeth.

Bored Daddy

This afternoon Tyler got bored & played with his new app...

Ocean water

While at the beach yesterday we thought we'd take Dylan to the water. We knew the water was going to be cold but we were just going to have him get his little feet wet. I wanted to get him to try & walk there.

I'd say he did pretty good for his 1st full walk, but cold ocean water will need to wait for warmer temps! We'll stick with the sand & kiddie pool.

Merry-go-round

We went with ana & family to Jenkinson's amusement park area to ride some rides. Well it seems the only ride he was allowed to ride was the merry go round. Good prep for Disney!

Sand

Dylan got to feel sand for the first time and even taste it.  Yuck!





Perfect Day

Today started early with a stop in Belmar to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Estler before their parade started.

Next we went to Avon to relax on the beach and have another first experience with Dylan - Sand and Ocean.

Unfortunately the breeze picked up and the clouds came rolling in.  I got a text from my cousin, Ana, who was in Point Pleasant with the family.  We decided to meet up with them there.  We took the ride up RT-35 to Point Pleasant.  It was PACKED!

It was getting late and we headed home. Both Tyler and I are a little red, but it's all good!  At home Tyler tried to clean up his shed/garage while Dylan and I hung out inside.  For dinner we had pizza and wings and dessert was brownies with ice cream and hot fudge! What a way to end a perfect day with my boys!

All Wet

I got Dylan a kiddie pool and thought we'd try it out on this beautiful hot day.  When I first put him in, he cried but I played and splashed and gave him the rings to play with.  Within seconds he loved it!

I'd say it was a success!  Tomorrow we are going to the beach and trying out sand and possibly ocean water.

Dylan got a bucket for Easter and Daddy put it on his head because Dylan supposedly told him he liked it on his head.

Gotcha

In the morning, the cats like to come into our bedroom and visit me and Dylan.  Dylan is awake, fed and eager to play as we watch the Disney Channel.  Well Midnight got within Dylan's grabbing range and....

Ready Set Go

While we waited for the tow truck to pick up the Jeep, Dylan and I sat in the air conditioned truck.  Dylan seemed to like the steering wheel mainly because he wanted to eat it.

Junk Yard

With the addition of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, we officially have a "Junk Yard" on our front lawn.  Hopefully the Trooper will be leaving this weekend and the Jeeps will be taken apart and put together leaving one here and the other sold.

AC Dinner

After we checked out the station wagon last night, we decided to go to the Borgata in AC to have dinner at the Buffet. It's one of our favorite places to go!

No worries it was empty. It was decorative with a list of wines on the label.

We had a nice dinner & headed back home. We are picking up the jeep later on today! Tyler is very excited!
