Double Duty

This week Tyler was offered a job for the week - babysitting. My cousin, Daniel, asked me on Saturday if Tyler would be able to watch his daughter this week for $$$! Daniel's mother-in-law was in the hospital and couldn't watch Isabelle. Tyler agreed and yesterday was his first day at their home in Cream Ridge.

From what Ty told me he didn't really get a break all day. He was constantly changing diapers, keeping Isabelle from putting everything in her mouth and stopping Dylan from knocking his cousin down to the floor. The kids are 10 months apart, but Isabelle is about the same size as Dylan.

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday he is there from 8-5:30, but Tuesday and Friday daniel's wife works from home so Ty only has to be there from 8-4. My poor hubby was very tired yesterday. Good Luck today Hun!

Post Game

After the Giant's game, I wanted to take pictures and Grandma Estler came with me and Dylan to Veteran's park for a quick jaunt.

I bought a new photo software program and tried out some of the features.  Still working on it seeing which ones I like and don't.

Englishtown Politics

Went to Englistown Sunday morning meeting grandparents Estlers there. Walked all around finding new sneakers, deodorant, mouth wash for Ty, for Dylan reading books and a toy story Rex toy and for me just 3 little Disney pins.

Tyler couldn't help himself but while making a pit stop in one of the buildings, Ty brought up the presidential election with his father. They went at it for about 30 min.

It was getting late so we headed home for the giants game.

ARRRGGG!

Saturday was Liam's 3rd birthday and his party.  The Mayo goes all out and this party was just that!  It was pirate themed (currently Liam's favorite) and on a pirate boat! It's was pretty impressive and looked like it came out of Pirate of the Carribean.  It was at Jersey Shore Pirates in Brick.  The boat took everyone out on the lake and the weather couldn't have been any better!

Dylan did best towards the end of the party as he was a bit of a cranky pants because he woke up upon arrival at the party.  All in all it was a great party.  Can't wait to see what's in store for next year.

Ugly Stick

Well it appears Tyler got bit by the sinus infection bug yesterday. Dylan only has a runny nose thank God, but still need to keep an eye on him. I have been feeling better and was able to leave the house to do some food shopping. I took Dylan with me to Dick's & toys r us. Unfortunately the fishing rod Tyler got at Columbus Flea Market last weekend broke in half. En leu of someone's approaching 30th, I decided to get Tyler an early birthday gift.

A new "Ugly Stick" fishing pole. I couldn't go out and not get a toy for Dylan.

Haha No I didn't get him a jeep. He kept saying "car" and "sit" so I let him enjoy the jeep. We are looking into one though. Instead I got him more figurines- farm animals to go with his safari & dinosaurs.

Watching football and tending to my boys as we all try to get better. Hopefully we do by the weekend. We have a busy weekend with Liam's 3rd birthday party on a pirate ship in Brick and possibly the AC seafood festival on Sunday but the Giants game may trump it.

Bad Karma

So this is the 3rd or 4th time we've had to cancel our trip to Vermont. I have a bad sinus infection that came on full blown yesterday. The past few times we've had to cancel has been due to someone else being sick or family events. I'm starting to think I have bad karma or it's not meant to be. Hopefully we can get up there soon! We could use the time away & I'm dying to see Karli & the boys especially my godson!

Dylan is playing and the Yankees v. Orioles game. ARod just his an A-Bomb. 7-0 top of 5th. Nice!

Labor Day

Tyler talked with his father about driving or filling in with the Ragtimers to make a little extra $$.  Tyler's first gig was driving the band in the South Plainfield Labor Day parade.  I called up my cousin, Dana, to see if she wanted to join us since she lives in South Plainfield. She told me her and the family go every year.  She also invited us to her house afterwards for pizza and spanish tortilla (no not the chips but a potato, egg and onion dish).  Dana's parents came for lunch as well.  Here are some shots from the parade.

The rain held out long enough for the parade to finish.  Lunch was yummy and always good to hang with family.
