Playground expanding

This weekend was beautiful and we spent most of it outdoors. Dylan got to play on his playground area while Tyler worked on jeeps and I tried to clean up the patio area. Dylan didn't have anywhere to play with his cars in his playground area so we took a ride to Big Lots and bought a kids picnic table.

It wasn't what I expected but for what I paid it'll do for now. We also got a free kids desk from our neighbors whose granddaughters used it. It's not too girlie so it'll do as well.

We need to get a new swing seat as this one is getting too small and hard for him to get into. We are searching for a big slide and we'll see what else I find out there. A pool is also in search for.

Gardens

Tyler has been working hard on the yard and gardens. He's always wanted a nice yard and he's been compliments from all the neighbors on how great the flowers and how GREEN the new grass is.

I'm proud of Tyler and all the work he has done to make the outside look great.

Dylan came to work with me last Thursday for Take Your kid to work day. It was also our wellness luncheon. It was a successful luncheon (I organized). Dylan on the other hand... Had his own plans.

He enjoyed going through everything and thinking my computer screen was a TV. He watched some YouTube videos and played with his cars. Mommy didn't get much actual work done but I got to spend more time than normal with him which ill take any day!!

Cars...more cars...Characters

I was looking at Dylan's toys last night & realized the amount of cars he has.

That case holds 100 cars & it's busting! We have another one that holds 45 we may need to start using. He's also started getting interested in planes. He likes to say "Fly!" Looking forward to Disney's Pixar new movie Planes coming in August.

Then there are his character collection. This picture does not include all his animal figurines which consists of about 50+.

These collections are consistently growing! I need to go through all his toys again.

Make up Easter

Went to the Estlers Sunday afternoon (yes busy Sunday) for a make up from Easter. There were lots of bubbles and a lost kite in the neighbors tree.

Though it was a long day it was still a good one!

Dudes play date

Sunday morning went to Veterans Park to meet up with my friend Jacqui and her son JT. I guess this wasn't their day because Dylan wasn't having it playing with anyone unfortunately. I did manage to get a few shots of the morning.

We will definitely get together again soon. The boys are 2 months apart and the mommies are good friends. Years of play dates in the future. On the plus side the boys did hug and give each other a high 5 when it was time to leave.

Mr. And Mrs. Hartz

April 6, 2013 was a busy day. We had the official grand opening of Melbri's Teahouse then we headed out to Long Island for our friends Eric and Christine's wedding. The ceremony, yet long, was beautiful and at times tearful.

Next we headed to the reception hall at a local country club with a historic manor. There was a big gap between the end of the ceremony and start of the cocktail hour/reception. We went out and took pictures (which I need to work on editing), but here are a few shots.

They had a DJ with a projection screen and a photo booth. We didn't get a chance to go in. It was getting late and Dylan still wasn't feeling100%. We still had a good time and glad we made it out to see them.

More hunting

We went to my grandparents' for lunch with the family and Dylan had more searching to do. Except in these eggs there were silver shiny things hidden in some of them.

Titi Brittany was helpful. Once we settled inside and had some delicious food made by Scott, Dylan opened up more gifts from the bunny.

Dylan had a fun day! He was so excited he didn't take a nap until we got home and he passed out around 6pm! We woke him up just before 7pm and went on playing with his new Easter gifts. Oh wait you're probably wondering if he had any chocolate or other candies. Well as you may or may not know he can't have chocolate because its made with milk which he can't have, but he did have his share of jelly beans and fruit snacks.
