Good Friday

I had the day off yesterday for Good Friday (3 day weekend). I wanted to go out and do something. We hadn't in a while and I was getting tired of taking pictures of the same stuff. We narrowed it down to Atlantic City or Tumble Falls in Frenchtown, NJ. We decided on driving down to AC for the afternoon. It was a bit colder than expected with the breeze coming from the ocean. The damage from Sandy was nothing compared to that of Mantoloking. We were able to walk the boardwalk, go into the casinos and shops. We walked on the beach as well.

It started getting a bit too cold and it was time for dinner. With the many options available to us we decided to go to Rainforest Cafe. We thought Dylan would like all the animals throughout. There were 2 indoor thunder storms during our meal and a big Frog who tried to get his picture take with us.

Dylan's favorite was the fish tank. It was great getting out of the house and having a nice day with my family.

Today will consist of cleaning the house, prepping for tomorrow morning's egg hunt while Tyler puts up his new car tent to get his jeep inventory out of the house and into his new storage area. We'll stick in there either a walk around the neighborhood or a ride in the dune racer down the street.

Went to Babies R Us to take advantage of their BOGO free sale on clothes for little man for the expecting warmer weather & we found these Cars wall stickers. No they are not permanent but they are reusable. Lets see what changes next in his bedroom.

Sunday was Mikaela's birthday party at Pump It Up. It's a bounce place just like Dylan's birthday party. Ty wasn't feeling well so he stayed home. I wasn't prepared for the amount of bouncing and running and jumping I would be doing.

Dylan had a great time. He was passed out in the car 10 min down Rt 1 on the way home and continued his nap at home.

Leela's Shower

Sunday was my cousin Liliana's surprise Bridal Shower at a Portuguese restaurant in South River. It was a great shower, lots of people and a ton of presents!

The bride-to-be, her bridesmaids, junior bridesmaid and flower girl. Dylan wouldn't let go of mommy to get in the picture since he's going to be the ring bearer.

Dylan and I didn't feel well during the party. We headed home after it was done and rested. Unfortunately Dylan started having temps and we took him to the doctor yesterday. Same as usual - red throat, start of ear infection, runny nose. Antibiotic & nebulizer. And for me well I stayed home as well yesterday with my usual and probably will again today because I can barely talk. Ty will be happy about that.

2nd Year 2nd Chance

Yesterday was the 2 year mark since Tyler's transplant. It's amazing how its only been 2 years. So much has happened since then - Dylan's 1st & 2nd birthday, trip to Disney when Dylan was 7 months old, Dylan's baptism, Dylan first snow, Tyler bought and rode a buggy, etc and Tyler has been around for it all! He is a fighter & my superman! No matter what tries to block his way he defeats it! We celebrate the day like any other as requested by Ty, but one thing we will be doing each year and that is go out to whichever restaurant he wants for dinner. That night we went to Outback. Him and his steak.

It was a good day and night. I ran errands all morning with Dylan and Ty worked outside and sold a jeep part. Just another day in our lives.

What's Next

Say bye to the buggy.

Tyler sold it last night for something else. He hasn't bought it yet but has been looking. He has one in mind and is waiting to hear back. Lets see what he gets next.

Dune Ride

Ty took Dylan out for a ride yesterday in his Dune Racer we got him for his birthday last year.  This was his first ride alone.

Ty said he rode pretty well and fast down the street until he crashed into garbage cans and got out.

In this video it may appear that I'm teasing my kid from watching his favorite movie. He's been doing so much better with his speech I'd thought I'd try to get him to talk more.  Well....

Last Saturday we went to JerzJump, where Dylan had his birthday party. It was something to do & to get some of Dylan's energy out. They have open play where you can come and play without having or being apart of a birthday party.

There were a ton of kids lingering around from birthday parties. The parents were lucky I didn't yell at them for their lack of supervision of their kids who were climbing & kicking my kid while going up the jungle gym. Dylan had a great time and that's all that matters but we may have to rethink going back there at that the same time especially on a Saturday! That or we just get one for the house.
