Madrinha and the Girls

Ana and the girls came over this afternoon to help me out around the house a little and give us some company. While the kids played we (Ana) cleaned up the kitchen which needed a good cleaning.

Everyone had a good time and at 6 Dylan came up to me passed out after going the whole day without a nap. Hope he sleeps through the night but that might be asking for too much.

TMI

Baskets

On our last day in Vermont Karli and I took Parker to Basketville in Putney, VT while Ty stayed home with Dylan and Brennan. They had lots and lots of lovely handmade baskets of every size along with, wicker everything, nostalgia stuff, baking supplies and ingredients, jams and jellies and can't forget toys and Vermont famous maple. Everything decently priced.

Bought Dylan a small toy train set and Tyler a apple core remover. Plus they had wine tasting and I bought one bottle for me and one sparkling cider for Ty.

Cold and Traffic

We went up to Vermont for the weekend. We left Saturday and came home just now as I had off from work today for MLK. We didn't look at the weather ahead of time before leaving today and forgot it was a Monday so we hit traffic everywhere!! Otherwise it was a nice weekend and here are pics of the boys.

Next time we go up it'll be warmer out. It was so cold up there!! Not for me! Sa

Lunch Boxes

At the Toy Museum, they had a large lunch box collection. Some I even had when I was a kid. Here are a couple I liked best or knew Ty would enjoy seeing.

Very cool!

Cards and Toys

This morning I went out to Quechee Gorge to take some pictures while the boys stayed warm at the hotel. The Gorge was 10 min away. After I took my pictures of the Gorge (those will come later), I went to the village (shops) which included wine shop, country store, Yankee candle, antique mall & toy museum. I walked around the stores even the antique mall. I was killing time and what intrigued me the most were the collection of sports memorabilia.

Had no interest in the rest but it was pretty big. Then I headed up to the toy museum. Very cool and lots of toys I played with when I was a kid.

Going through the museum brought back great memories. Could've bought some of the stuff. Do you see anything from your childhood?

Sour Face

We had dinner in New Hampshire at a Hibachi restaurant called Koto. I was talking to Karli when Dylan tried the lemon.

26 miles

So as we drove up to Vermont we tried to book the hotel just down the street from Karli and family and it was completely booked! Ty scrambled to find another one & that one was about 26 miles north of her! You're probably asking why wait so late... Well with our luck making trips up here we've been waiting til the last minute.

At least it's nice and Dylan made himself at home.

Rebuilding

I was in the Neptune/Belmar area yesterday for work. Had the wrong address at first & it brought me to Belmar a block from the beach. They have it blocked off a block from the beach for residents only but I could see the sand all the way up to the houses piled up. There was a lake they were rebuilding.

We're planning to go check out a beach one day soon.

Shopping Cart Ride

WHOA

My friend got him the microphone for chirstmas that echos and lights up.

Play-Doh

Bought Dylan play-doh on the way home. Was told he didn't like it with his speech therapist but once mommy made some into shapes he got more interested.

My First Drive

The Beginning

Yesterday I went out to Sayen Gardens, same place Ted & Carol got married, to take some pictures. I'm going to be putting together a portfolio to hopefully do something with it down the road. I'll be creating a new blog for it as well. I did with Wordpress but I don't like it. Some I edited some I left alone. Hope you like.

This is the spot where Ted and Carol got married. There was a huge tree down right next to it from the hurricane.

This editing was Tyler's idea. I like it but still needs work.

Today we are going to some guy's land who's house burnt down and has land to go off roading in Ty's dune buggy. Let see how I far with the cold (I hate the cold) and if I get any pictures. That post will be later in tonight. Dylan will be spending the morning with Nana.
